ChaChaChangdeokgung

Day no.4 morning it was time for Changdeokgung Palace. (창덕궁)
When I saw that name for the first time I was really like ∑(O_O;) omg.

I really can't recall any special memories from that place.
We were just walking around ... a lot.
Oh, that's the place where you can find western tourists from Seoul !! Haha
We saw other tourists once in a blue moon, so it was extraordinary to hear English.

If I'm right Changdeokgung is one of the biggest palaces in Seoul, and it was grievously damaged during Japanese occupation. So the whole place is like re-built.

Anyway, I find palaces rather interesting and magnificent 'cause we don't have anything like this in Finland. and well, actually neither in Europe

We came to the palace just in time, since the there were only 2 english tours to Secret Garden a day, and we just got to the first tour !
Otherwise we should have gone to the Korean tour 'cause Secret Garden is something you shouldn't miss in Seoul.

So the rest of the photos are taken in Secret Garden ~

When you walked under that gate you got eternal life or something.
We were just walking like behind our group taking photos with some Chinese tourists haha~

The whole route through Secret Garden was like 2-3km ...
And after that it was time for some more walking ...

Over there lived the female servants. Men had larger quarter.

So yeah, when we left the Palace area we headed to Insa-dong. Our plan was eating Korean porridge in Bibimbab cafe 'cause my friend had recommend it but we couldn't find the place !

We ended up eating Samgyeopsal (pork belly meat& U fry it byurself at ur table) in a lil' restaurant.
We were such a good entertainment to some random old man. (Y)
The waitress had to help us like all the time and she was just asking that old man to stop laughing since we were foreigners.

Omg it was embarrassing to eat when you knew someone is stalking how you eat, haha

We went to search some large bookstore, walked srsly an hour trying to find it but decided to give up. We went down stairs to the metro station and TADA found an underground entrance to the bookstore !

------------------------------------------------

Samgyeopsal ... It was so epic...

Bought 2 suuper thick grammar books, Beginner to early intermediate and Intermediate.
The beginner book is quite useless for me but ... Kertaus on opintojen äiti ;) meaning: You learn by repeating things several times

Bought also The little Prince language book. It's basically just the Little Prince story written in english and Korean.
Plus there're some key expression notes if some cool thing was used in the chapter.
There're some exercises too about the words&idioms after every chapter. Me likes<3

Of course I couldn't leave without EGG-magazine, hehe.

That day I also found out my Korean shoe size ! I never knew they use mm ...
Obviously as a big western, I've the biggest shoe size, 245-250mm T.T
My EU size is 38-39 ...

What else...
I spoke Korean more than ever with an old woman who was selling some shoes.
She had super cool selling tactic by praising me and my mom hahaha
I got huge discount from her !! So speak Korean if you can ! lol

Seoul Day 3

"Bread is super sweet & Iced green tea latte isn't my thing
but I've fallen for this city."

Once again noodles for breakfast and after that we headed to National Museum.
Watched 너는 펫/ You're my pet-movie yesterday,
they had filmed one part in National Museum, omg my feelings,
it was lovely to spot the places where I had been too kkk

Selca queen strikes again.
It was super hot day so had to take advantage of all the shady places, heh~
I really liked that walkway between the trees (^∀^)

What it comes to the museum, it was huge.
When we got inside, some little kids attacked us.
Haha it was so funny when children always started talking to my mom
but ingnored me T.T
Maybe it was better tho 'cause I don't really like children ...

My museum romance started a bit later.
I'm not going to explain in detail but there was this guy about in his early 20s.
He was in a hurry and ran to the escalator until he noticed me and fell down.
Aww it was cute, he literally couldn't get his eyes off me kkk

We bumped into him couple of times. I guess he was some kind of photographer since he got really good systems camera and shooted some Buddhas.

Later when we were about to leave the museum, I sat alone on a bench, he noticed me and came to sit really close to me. Or then it just felt close to me 'cause you know, Finns.
Neither of us didn't speak, but it was just cute hehe
I'm a bit sad that I can't remember his face anymore, usually I remember people's faces well.

I loved that expression so much ! Dunno why but I couldn't help laughing.

Went to some random mall in the bus terminal and ate there.
After that it was time for War Memorial Museum ! I'm really not into mueseums, but I guess abroad everything is worth to see.

For some reason we got in for free of charge to both museums,
so we really had luck choosing that day as our Museum Day.
We wondered if they have this free admission every Thursday,
but I still don't know...

The cafeteria worker was really nice girl, She was imperessed that I spoke Korean.
It always made my day when I noticed people were happy 'cause I spoke a little bit of their language~

When it got dark, we went to ... Can You Guess where?

To Namsan / N. Seoul Tower !
Ye, the light was changing and they even reflected some program against the tower.

The best words to describe Namsan Tower is: Couples, couples & couples ... ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ
Okay It was really cool but I swear, next time I'll go there with a boyfriend.
...Or at least with friends.

Helsinki !

Writing these bring back all the memories, Gosh I really don't want anything else as much as going back to Korea and to Thailand and meet some of my friends there.

Just try to follow me

car
As I'm turning 18 quite soon I enrolled in a driver's education course or should I say driving school.
The first lesson was on Monday,
and I got to drive a car for the first time in my life yesterday.

Omg I totally love it !
The driving lessons bring excitement to my boring vacation.
ㅋㅋㅋ

Okay It was quite funny that I broke the right tail light by driving backwards to the only handrail in the parking lot AND got told that I drive better than the most for the first time.

Tho that little tail light "accident" wasn't my fault since I nor my teacher couldn't see it from the mirrors and the radar didn't beep either.

Been driving Ford Mondeo, So it's not the smallest car in the world ...

Oh God, I wanna party so badly, where's my vodka and party people?

Forgot to mention

Obviously most of the Korean people doesn't expect that a foreigner could speak even a little bit Korean. Or at lest I'm really surprised if a foreigner speaks Finnish.

So the awkward moments Part 1. Metro.

As I said in some of my previous post in finnish tho that there wasn't a metro trip when someone wouldn't have said "Oh a foreigner !" but sometimes, especially couples ?? spoke kinda much about me and my mom. The subject changed from my eyes to clothes and of course how pretty they thought I was.

It was really awkward to stand there right in front of some persons while they were casually talking about me without knowing I understood something. One couple talked their whole metro way, the other couple even played rock-scissor-paper and the loser should have said something to me but they didn't have guts haha

Once a couple walked towards me, I got an eye contact with the girl. She looked at me from head to toe, smiled and put her arms around her boyfriend. Her BF was really confused about that and was like: "what are you doing?" Unfortunately I couldn't hear anymore what they were talking after that haha

Some nice comments made my day sometimes !
So it was quite fun to "eavesdrop" hehe ~
