Straightening Hair

During Summer the weather in Korea is like super humid.
I've naturally little bit curly hair but the humidity made me look like a poodle,So many people asked if I had a perm

Even my host sister thought it wasn't my natural hair
Until I finally made my mind and got a straightening perm
at some random hair salon in Konkuk University (건대입구) area

I was doubting if I should get the perm or not since I had only heard bad things about it.
How it wouldn't last more than a week,
or
How it would totally kill my hair.

Half Singaporean Half Japanese Jes who has lived around the world,
Moved from hostel to her host family's place for the very last week

My friends went to get their hair done and I did't want to just sit there and wait so I just gave it a shot.
It was the best decision of my hair life haha

---

I was called the trouble hair cause obviously western hair is really different compared to thick Asian hair.
They really had trouble with my weak curly hair so I got a treatment at the same time.
They put this big machine to my head which I've only seen in movies.
It felt weird when my head felt like really cold but otherwise it was warm.

I don't know much Korean vocabulary when it comes to hair things so my friend just told the hair dresser to cut me bangs without me knowing lol

It was a nice experience and different compared to getting your hair cut here in Finland.
First the salon was huge and there wasn't only 1 person doing your hair but 4 in my case ...
And all of the workers were so good-looking !!

There was like 2 guys straightening my hair from the sides and a girl from the back.
It was interesting.
They just told me to say if it was too hot but I got served cold juice so it wasn't that bad.

Actually I ruined the straightening the very next day cause we went to a family trip to Gyeonggi-do and I swam there.
You shouldn't water your hair for few days after doing perm!! They didn't mention me that cause I was foreigner but luckily knew it beforehand

Few days later when we got to Seoul I went back to the salon and they did my hair again for free !
Really good service, price was only like 70 euros, I know it's quite expensive in Korea but I've been really satisfied with the result and the salon was anyway expensive place.

A guy group would have came to hit me if they knew I spoke Korean.
eavesdropping ftw (Y)

This Is Halloween, Witches

Halloween Friday.
I was totally overbooked that day just flying from place A to place B.

Got my high school diploma in English from my old school first.
I totally forgot how passionate art students are to dress up. Really it felt like I stepped into some kind of Wonder Land. All of the students, even teachers had dressed up.
Wanted to walk around the school just to see the costumes but I was in a hurry so just picked up my diploma from the counselor.

Ye ye Ready to send my application to Korea University pretty soon !

I had 2 parties where I had promised to go but ...
Didn't have time for the first "only vegetarian food" party so skipped eating and went straight to the "Drinking&Clubbing" friends' place
That was more my thing.

My Korean friend told me that Itaewon is the place to go on Halloween night.
Feels like a dream to think that I'll be possibly hanging out with Korens and my bby Julia next year this time.
Have to buy my own cat ears before that haha

Waiting to see how they dress up for Halloween there.
And Clubs.
In Korea, I only went to clubs with guys
Didn't have clubber girlfriends or they were underage ㅠ
So didn't really experience the "Magic" of Korean night life haha

Julia came to Helsinki for few nights so partying continued till Tuesday.

Went to eat to Korea House, oh gosh how I've missed Korean food.
We were about to leave the restaurant when there came quite big group of Koreans.

I've a msg tone that says in Korean "Msg arrived reply please~"
Just on a right time there was silent moment and Dadaang "Msg arrived reply reply" broke the silence
Oh God it was so embarrassing ! Tried to turn the voice off but I was too slow lol
You can't imagine how awkward the few seconds were after that.
One older guy from the Korean group asked if we spoke Korean cause of the msg tone so ended up to speak a little Korean too.

 Ahjumma spoke so fast

Tried Finnish Bubble Tea for the first time !
I had only tried some super healthy tea versions so this was a nice change,
really liked it ~

Welcome To Busan

Was it 4th day on the camp we had this activity called "citeering"
Basically it meant that we got free time to wander around Busan.

We had few missions too.
For example we had to buy a souvenir which all of us would remember forever for 1 000won (about 7e)
We bought family socks lol

We went to some random little "zoo" on top of a department store.
There were only little animals like rabbits, pigs etc.
and us

Our group was so .. well, easy-going that we went inside a bunny cage to take photos but a guardian asked us to get out of there.
We had "we're foreigners card" so they weren't that mad  ahaha

We went to eat to a buffet-like restaurant.
You decide 1 meal, we took bulgogi, and you can ask for more as much as you want for the same price.
As always, there were a loooot of side dishes so only 2 big plates of bulgogi was enough for us all ...

The difference between Asian and Western food is really huuge,
I've came to that opinion now almost 3 months after my trip and probably 7kg fatter.
I eat pretty healthy always since I'm diabetic but I lost really a lot of weight in Korea. Even tho I ate shit loads of food.
In Korea there's a lot of side dishes so I was never able to finish even 1 bowl of rice.
Oh Koreans were so surprised of that

Here In Finland we use a lot of fat and wheat in our diet
=  Hello 10 extra kg  and I'm not even surprised

Busan's famous Hotteok for dessert ♥

Our Leader was so sweet, before going to the restaurant he had bought hair ribbons for us girls !
All of us had different ones which he thought suited us the best.
I got big blue bling bling ribbon haha

Our time was up so we had to head back to the Busan Tower.
Found that love chair thingy and a lot of couple locks from there.
Eun Bin and me wanted to take a photo together in that heart chair but the rest of our group decided to come in the photo too haha
